Mobile Security Patrols is an Android app developed for security agency.
The app provides the following features:
- Support of mobile patrol on its route;
- Recommend next point to visit;
- Provide the list of checkpoints on the area;
- Fix a visit of checkpoint via NFC;
- Allow to report security incidents (text, photos, GPS).
Below is the main case of using the application. A security agency configures the required information via backend: security areas, checkpoints and NFC points for each security area, patrols and their shifts. It is possible to define a required period of patrol visits for each security area. Once all required data is set up the system generates duty lists for each shift for the upcoming period. A duty list includes the ordered list of security areas a patrol should visit. A patrol also gets a list of check points and NFC points for each security area in the list. The duty list is downloaded into Android mobile app used by a patrol.
When a shift starts a patrol should visit all the security area. When a patrol arrives to a security area it should check in via the mobile app. After that patrol should visit all the check points and NFC points defined for this security area. On each check point a patrol should check in via the app (manually or via NFC tag). It is also possible to enter text details after visiting of each check point (for the case of some incidents identified by a patrol), as well as attach photos. Also a GPS position is saved for each check-in.
App stores all the information about the visits and synchronizes it with the backend asynchronously. It is possible to monitor the patrol activities via backend, view lists of security areas, check points and NFC points passed by a patrol, as well as text notes and photos submitted for visited check points.
App also support processing of alarms, in such a case it's possible to address one of patrol to the alarm point in real time (update the duty list of the running shift for this patrol).
